About the Photographs:
It is estimated that there are several billion photographs made every year around the world. Some tell stories, some sell products, some inform, some remind, some challenge our spirits.
When I go out with my camera, the everyday baggage of me-in-the-world concerns and preoccupations disappear. I simply become an eye and a friend, an observer in the tradition of the photographer as flâneur, or the aboriginal on his walkabout, ever aware of the struggle, the pain, the glory and the joy all around me and at the center of my life — encounters, always and everywhere.
